MARC Fundraisers
Here is our list of annual fundraisers. As with all of our fundraising efforts we try our best to curb expense to ensure the money raised from each event goes directly to our MARC program. To do that we ask for private and business sponsors to help defray the costs of each event. In return for a sponsorship, you or your business logo will then be included in all advertising associated with the event you have sponsored. If you, as a private citizen or as a business would like to sponsor one of our annual funding events, please contact Gordon Ross at 305-294-9526 ext. 25.
The ReMARCable Mattheessen’s Ice Cream Social
One of the most FUN summer events in Key West is the ReMARCable Mattheessen's Ice Cream Social. Saturday, July 27th from 4 to 7pm join us at the MARC Plant Store, 1401 Seminary Street and enjoy yummy summer treats made by local favorites. Mango Cobbler with Vanilla Ice Cream, Banana Bread Ice Cream Sandwiches with warm caramel sauce, Mattheessen's Make Your Own Sundae Booth and much much more! Join us. Bring your family and bring your friends. DON'T FORGET THE ReMARCable MEALS RAFFLE DRAWING!! Tickets are now on sale for the ReMARCable Restaurants raffle. Green Parrot Bingo!!
Join Dixie and her friends at the Green Parrot Bar, 601 Whitehead Street Key West, FL 33040, (305) 294-6133 for a great time with a great group of locals and visitors alike raising funds for our MARC family! Every other Monday stop! Bingo begins at 6pm and goes till 9. Cards are only $1 and the prizes are worth sooo much less!!! JOIN US and have a ball!
The ReMARCable Table Top Christmas Tree Auction
This annual fun filled event on Tuesday, December 4th at the Westin Resort and Marina Ballroom marks the beginning of the Key West Holiday Season with locals residents and businesses alike sponsoring and decorating incredible table top Christmas Trees for auction. Tree Previews begin at 5pm and the auction begins at 7pm. A $10 donation gives you a bidding paddle and entered into a door raffle for two tickets on Cape Air to Fort Meyers Florida with hotel stay. The crowd gathers early in The Westin Resort and Marina Ballroom to preview the trees and decide on their choice before the bidding begins. Winner bidders receive their trees that very evening wrapped and delivered to their home. To sponsor a tree as a private resident or business call Gordon Ross at 305-294-9526 ext. 25. Tree Sponsorship is $100 plus your decorations. Decorate your own tree, have a friend help you, or ask the MARC family to find a decorator for you ($200 per sponsorship to help purchase decorations if MARC is to find you a decorator).
This amazing evening is fun, fast and done early making it the perfect season fundraising event to start off your holiday season. Bidding paddles are $5 and with each paddle you receive free parking for the evening. JOIN US!!
ReMARCable Christmas Trees
Each year the MARC family receives beautiful Frazer Fir pine trees for the Christmas holiday season. This our latest fundraiser of the year and the support from our community is always inspiring. The trees come from South Caroline from a sustainable farm and arrive via refrigerated truck directly to the MARC plant store at 1401 Seminary St. The first shipment always arrives the Tuesday before Thanksgiving and as many locals know, arrive that morning, the Tuesday before Thanks giving, and bring some gloves and an old shirt and help unload the trees from the truck. Sometimes, if your lucky, there is still snow on the trees when they arrive!
BINGO at the Green Parrot
Just us every other Monday at the world renown GREEN PARROT BAR, 601 Whitehead street for a two hour evening of crazy Bingo Callers, prizes and just plain fun to raise money for the MARC program. The Green Parrot has raised over $30,000 for the MARC Program, stop by and help us raise more! If you would like to donate a Bingo prize or be a caller for the evening, call Dixie Henkel at 305-294-9526 ext. 34.
